'She Will Be Heard' event & report launch
Section
Event Description
We believe that when women are equal in power and decision making; when their leadership is valued; and when more liberal women in politics can thrive, only then can we achieve a truly free, open and prosperous Europe for all.
However, despite some high profile gains over the last decade, the impact persistent gender inequality is having on women in European politics is clear: Women remain not just underrepresented at every level; female leadership is still deeply undervalued.
But the path forward is equally clear.
Our new report "Igniting her ambition: Overcoming the challenges to women's representation in Europe" captures the state of women in European politics and establishes a foundation for a new approach to advancing liberal female leadership.
Join us for a very special launch event on 9 March 2021 from 16:30 to 17:45.
We'll discuss findings from our report, get insights from key influencers, and reveal plans for new era of liberal female political empowerment.
For the very first time, we will announce the details of a bold, ambitious new initiative which builds directly on the success of the 'European Women's Academy', and which will take the fight for equal power and representation for women in politics to the next level.
This is her time.
And she will be heard.
Keynote speaker: Margrethe Vestager, Executive Vice President of the European Commission.
