Ukraine’s EU Integration Process: Liberals Leading the Way to Ukrainian Integration
Date
Address
Event Description
On 8 November, the European Commission adopted its 2023 Enlargement Package, which recommends to open
accession negotiations with – among others – Ukraine. The European Commission found that granting the country
EU candidate status had led to a powerful reform dynamic and substantial progress made towards meeting the seven
steps of the European Commission Opinion on Ukraine's EU membership application. In a next step, EU Member States
will have to unanimously decide on opening accession talks with Ukraine, a decision that is expected to be taken in
December.
While discussions on EU enlargement are in full swing, we invite you to join us for an evening with key representatives
from both the EU and Ukraine to discuss the accession progress report and its implications, as well as the role of
Liberals in driving forward the necessary institutional reforms both in the EU and Ukraine.
