If you live in an unhealthy building, you are twice as likely to suffer from poor health yourself, while the societal costs are immense: the annual costs to European societies are more than 82 billion EUR every year, just to fight asthma and related diseases. These are two of the findings from the Healthy Homes Barometer 2017 study, that will be presented in full at this year’s Healthy Buildings Day in Brussels on the 31st of May 2017. Presentations and discussions will be shaped by high-level speakers and focus on how we can improve health as well as the energy efficiency of EU’s existing building stock, which accounts for 40% of the EU’s energy consumption today and 36% of its total CO2 emissions.
Places are limited, so please register your participation here
The final programme will follow closer to the event.
