Event Description
RECHARGE, the leading European industry association for advanced rechargeable and lithium batteries, is gearing up for a highly anticipated milestone—the celebration of its 25th Anniversary.
To mark this occasion, RECHARGE is hosting a landmark policy conference on 26 October, titled 'A Thriving European Batteries Ecosystem: Learning from the Past, Building a Sustainable and Competitive Future.' This conference promises to be a pivotal event, bringing together EU and industry leaders at TownHall Europe (Brussels) and online.
Our stellar lineup incudes a keynote address by Commissioner Virginijus Sinkevičius, as well as panel discussions with Director-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, Kerstin Jorna; C-level representatives from leading batteries manufacturers; the European Court of Auditors; the European Battery Alliance; and key decisionmakers from European institutions and national ministries.
At the heart of the conference are high-level policy discussions centred around shaping a sustainable and competitive future for European batteries. In the context of Europe’s green and energy transition, we will explore the vital role batteries play in delivering security and decarbonising key sectors. Together, we will delve into the impact of recent legislation, like the EU Battery Regulation, Net Zero Industry Act or Critical Raw Materials Act, and shape our industry's manifesto.
