Taking place on the 10th November between 08.30 and 13.30h in the Kristalzaal, Kölnmesse, Köln. The event will take the form of a debate and participants will be from authorities, taxi regulators, legislators, industry stakeholders, associations and operators. It is taking place within the context of European Taximesse, Europes largest taxi trade fair. The event draws participants from Europe and beyond. A programme is attached for information. Again registration is free. The topic of the event will focus on the industry initiative Taxi- Anytime! Anywhere! That aims to promote the use of taxis and their part in the public transport chain.

Don’t forget to register for the 5th International IRU Taxi Forum to be held in Cologne, Germany, on Saturday 10 November 2012, as part of the largest global taxi exhibition, the European Taxi Fair (Europäische Taximesse).

The 5th International IRU Taxi Forum, taking place on 10 November 2012 within the Europäische Taximesse, Kölnmesse, Kristallsaal, Köln from 9:00 to 13:00, will bring together some 200 leading taxi business operators, regulatory authority representatives, taxi manufacturers, taxi-related academic researchers and marketing experts from around the globe.

The Forum will reflect on the joint industry motto “Taxi – Anytime, Anywhere”, with interventions and debates focusing primarily on how to achieve and effectively implement the commonly agreed taxi industry values of flexibility, comfort, safety, environmental performance and accessibility.

Programme highlights

  • Results and recommendations of the EuroTest survey on taxi service quality in
    22 European countries;
  • Best practices from around the world;
  • The Appeal of Technology: Opportunities and Threats.
     

Speakers include:
Vyacheslav Lysakov, Chairman of the Board, National Taxi Council of Russia, First Deputy Chairman, The Russian State Duma Committee for Constitutional Legislation; Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA); Cabinet of Minister Brigitte Grouwel, Brussels Capital Region; industry and regulatory authority representatives; and academics.

Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in English, German and Russian.
