The European budget is making headlines this year. What will be the reality for funding of justice projects at the beginning of 2014? In 2012, two new regulations (966/2012 of 25 October 2012 and 1268/2012 of 29 October 2012) amended and replaced previous regulations regarding the financial rules applicable to the general budget of the European Union and their implementation. These regulations provide the general context for any budgetary decisions, as well as the rules for establishing and managing European-funded projects. They entered into force at the beginning of 2013.
