Tobacco lobbying and Dalligate - proposed EP special committee on good governance presented

Event Description

When: THURSDAY, 21 March, 10.00 - 10.30

Where: Room ASP 5G2, European Parliament, Brussels

With: Greens/EFA co-president Rebecca Harms and Green MEPs José Bové and Bart Staes

The Greens/EFA group has proposed creating a special committee in the European Parliament to investigate the role of lobbying, notably tobacco lobbying, in the aftermath of the Dalligate scandal. At this press conference, Green MEPs José Bové and Bart Staes will be joined by group co-president Rebecca Harms to outline the mandate for the proposed committee, which has been presented after discussions with other political groups and which it is hoped will be adopted and put into place as soon as possible.

The press conference will also be livestreamed at: http://www.greenmediabox.eu/live/pressconference_tobacco_lobbying/
